Gracious and loving God, your Son Jesus has laid down his life and
called us his friends, and you have promised to give whatever we ask you
in Christ's name: hear our prayers for the whole human family and for
the world. The introduction to the response is “Lord change my heart”
and the reply is “that I may follow where you lead me.”
We pray that your faithful people, being chosen by your grace and sealed
in baptism, may always proclaim your greatness by their deeds of love.

that divides people and nations, remembering all nations as they try to find a way to deal
with the hatred and fear caused by bombings, conflict and war. We pray
Lord that you will guide and protect our troops stationed throughout the world.
We pray that those who have died for their country in time of war may be remembered with
honour in time of peace. Send your Holy Spirit to heal all divisions
and to make known your Love which is

they have never known love. Visit with new life the outcast and
neglected of our society. We pray that those who suffer chronic illness
feel in their caregivers the loving presence of Jesus. We pray for those
who are sick or homebound, remembering today . . . May the risen Christ
