Let us pray for the whole people of God in Christ Jesus, for all people
according to their needs:
God, our great provider, you listen to our complaints, our questions and our
concerns and never turn away. You provide healing for us when our souls are
in pain. Set your love before us and keep inviting us to look up and live.
We thank you for sending your blessings not only to us but to all of
creation. Into your hands, O Lord, we commend our spirits. (Num 21:4-9)
God, our great redeemer, your love for this world endures forever. You
gather your children from all the lands on this earth. Where there is
hatred, we ask you to send love. Where there is warfare, we ask you to send
peace. Where there is violence, we ask you to send serenity. Where natural
disasters threaten life today and into the future, we ask you to send hope.
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend our spirits. (Psa 107:1-3, 17-22)
God, our merciful savior, while we choose death by turning away, You choose
to give us life. You continually provide that life not only when our bodies
die but abundantly each and every moment here and now. Help us to believe
in your mercy. Raise up faithful leaders for your Church, that the message
of your love may continue to be told with joy. Into your hands, O Lord, we
commend our spirits. (Eph 2:1-10)
God, our just judge, by your grace our sins are healed. We pray that our
physical, mental and spiritual wounds might be touched by your healing hand.
Today we lift in prayer...
Are there others we should include in our prayers?
Because you love the world you send healing in many ways, some we recognize,
others we dont. Help us to accept your will for our lives and to trust in
your wisdom. Into your hands, O Lord, we commend our spirits. (John
3:14-21)
Into your hands, O Lord, we commend all for whom we pray, trusting in your
mercy; through your son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
